Onions

The onion originated in Central Asia but is currently cultivated all around the world, with Spain being one of its major producers in Europe.

 

We produce onions all year-round and in a wide range of varieties. The varieties we sell the most are: Recas, White, Red or Purple, Sweet, Figueras, and green onions. All of them have differentiating characteristics, according to their shape, spicy intensity, and interior and exterior color.

 

In our packaging plant in Barcelona, we prepare the onions by combining different varieties and arrangements not only with our brands but also with brands that our customers request.

Features:

The onion is a vegetable belonging to the lilaceae family. Its bulbous shape contains meat of different shades that when sliced emits an intense aroma characteristic of this product. Its flavor is often spicy although there are also sweet varieties. It possesses diuretic qualities, has a low measure of calories, and a high content of fiber and vitamins A, B, C and E.

More common varieties:

Yellow (golden Grain, Recas), White, Red or Purple, Sweet, Figueras, green onions, Shallots.

Optimal maintenance temperature:

between 0º and 2º with relative humidity between 65 – 70%.

Spain, France, Holland.
